Derek Escalera
Derek obtained his Hawaii real estate license in 1997 and started his career with Whalers Realty Inc, which has since merged with Keller Williams Realty Maui, where he currently hangs his license. While with WRI, he was a mentor to new agents and then after obtaining his Brokers license in 2005, acted as the broker in charge for the company during the principal brokers absence. Derek has earned two real estate designation which provide him the knowledge to professionally assist buyers and sellers. The Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) and the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) certification. He has also earned the Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR) and GREEN designations.
Derek specializes in all aspects of real estate, vacant land, residential, and resort condominium. His goal is to maintain The Blue Marlins Team reputation for a high level of service and professionalism in handling the sale and marketing of properties on Maui. He also has an extensive referral network for all the neighbor islands.
In his free time, Derek enjoys, deep-sea fishing with his kids, which inspired the team name . Derek looks forward to the opportunity to better serve his clients and hopes that you will allow him the chance to assist you with your real estate needs on Maui.
Elizabeth Escalera
Elizabeth Escalera has lived on Maui for over 30 years and has experienced the development and growth of Maui. Real estate is an integral element of her life. Her passion lies in establishing life-long client relationships and being a resource throughout the different stages of their lives.
Elizabeth holds a Master’s Degree from University of Texas in Bi-lingual/ Bi-Cultural; she also has earned the coveted Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) certification, which provides her with the knowledge and experience to assist in all areas of real estate, whether you are buying or selling. She has the resources necessary to facilitate the realization of her client’s dreams and real estate holdings.
Ms. Escalera brings her vibrant energy and professional experience into every real estate transaction representing sellers and buyers who appreciate excellence and knowledge.
Yoko Toyama
Before moving to Maui,Yoko Toyama worked 8 years as a realtor in Japan. She maintains her Japanese realtor license. Yoko moved to Maui in 2007. She worked in various sales positions during her first few years on Maui. Yoko has always been recognized for her personable nature and for her dedication to her work.
She joined Keller Williams in April 2021.
Her hobbies include yoga and aquatic aerobics.
